Welcome to the December edition of RxStrategies 340B Insider, a concise communication to provide a quick highlight of updates from RxStrategies’ view.
Highlights from ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
This month, the RxStrategies’ team was pleased to participate in ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition, one of the largest gatherings of pharmacists in the world.
A Few Highlights
The meeting provided pharmacy practitioners an opportunity to stay abreast of the newest industry information, network with colleagues from around the country, and enhance their skills with the best and brightest in the business.
The RxStrategies team connected with clinical leaders from across the U.S., discussing key issues impacting their day-to-day practice, and 340B program management. RxStrategies’ 340B Compliance Plus and 340BPlus™ Split Billing Solution continued to gain market traction and visibility, which was apparent during the conference. Our 340B solutions provide a high-touch customer service level that has been very well received by our clients. Contact us to learn more or to discuss how to get started.
Thanks to everyone who attended the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting. We look forward to seeing you next year in Las Vegas.
RxS Participates in Breakfast Meeting with Chairman Upton of House E & C Committee
On Nov 19, Fenton Markevich, President and CEO for RxStrategies, participated in a breakfast at the Capitol Hill Club for Congressman Fred Upton (R-MI), the Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce (E & C) Committee.
As Chairman for the Committee that has direct oversight for the 340B program, Upton’s insights are particularly important. Mr. Upton reiterated his strong support for the program and mentioned that he has heard from his hospitals back at home about concerns with the recent “Mega Guidance” that was issued by HRSA at the end of August 2015.
He has many eligible entities in his district and seems to be well informed about the current status of the program.
RxStrategies’ leadership views Chairman Upton as a strong ally of the 340B program and we wish to continue our dialogue with him.
340B HEALTH UPDATES
340B Health Members Care for Victims of the San Bernardino Shootings
Most of those who were victims of the December 2 mass shooting worked for San Bernadino County Department of Public Health’s Division of Environmental Health Services. The county health department operates clinics enrolled in the 340B Program.
Four 340B Health member hospitals cared for victims, including Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Loma Linda University Medical Center in Redlands, Community Hospital of San Bernardino and St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino.
The entire team at RxStrategies extends our thoughts to all who have been personally touched by this tragedy.
