340B HEALTH URGES ACTION: Stop 340B Hospital Cuts

The time is now to contact your Senators and Representatives regarding H.R. 4392 to stop the $1.6 billion in cuts effective Jan. 1, 2018.

RxStrategies encourages you to take immediate action by contacting your Senators and Representatives to discuss the importance of the 340B program as a healthcare safety net for low-income and underserved patients. Most importantly, it is vital to stop the deep reductions in Medicare Part B drug payments to hospitals that participate in the 340B drug discount program.

About H.R. 4392: “To provide that the provision of the Medicare Program: Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment and Ambulatory Surgical Center Payment Systems and Quality Reporting Programs final regulation relating to changes in the payment amount for certain drugs and biologicals purchased under the 340B drug discount program shall have no force or effect, and for other purposes.”

Join the 340B Health Campaign:

• Today, Dec. 12, is Take Action Tuesday. Email your Member of Congress and ask them to cosponsor H.R. 4392. If your Representatives have already cosponsored the bill, thank them for their leadership.
• Dec. 13 is Write-in Wednesday. Send an email to your U.S. Senators and Representatives asking them to include language in the end-of-year spending package that will stop the cuts.
• Dec. 14 is Tweet Thursday. Tweet a message to your U.S. Senators and Representatives urging support for legislation.
• Dec. 15 is Phone-in Friday. Call your Senators and Representatives and ask them to support the legislation.
